Shoeboxed Receipt Scanner App App Reviews

Yeah, there are others like it, but Ive tried a few and they all appear to be missing something. Not shoeboxed... First of all, their accounts management team is great! You can reach them by phone and writhin 2 or so minutes of calling. You can reach them by phone for free, and they can answer any questions you have. I spoke with a guy named Zack, he was on the phone with me for like 20 minutes helping me with everything. Thanks Next, the app has it all, you need to export to excel, automatically upload your email receipts, or send them by email. Pretty much everything you want to do with your receipts can be done with this app. I highly recommend it for organizing your receipts, filtering through them with ease, and accuracy of the data entry. 5 stars all the way

Needs a better way to enter mileage manually and to edit receipts.

Hi, This app works very well to satisfy my business needs. I downloaded the app in order to consolidate all my receipts and sort through my receipts. All I do is take a pic on my phone of the receipt and go online to process it myself. You can pay extra to have someone else process the receipts or you can do it yourself for free :)

I was asked to review this app by Shoeboxed. I cant give a great review right now because I havent been able to utilize its features. Ive snapped two receipts, but havent done much else, as the receipts, over twelve hours later, are still processing. All I know is, processing is a lengthy procedure. In the meantime, Ive been looking for other apps along the lines of this one, that dont make you pay for more than five receipts to be stored. Update: three days later, receipts are still processing. Uninstalling.

Cool idea to have humans review your receipt uploads and then have them type up and record the info for you. However, I uploaded one receipt a week ago and it is still pending. Good idea - poor execution. I wont pay for the service.

I use this app to keep track of all my business receipts. Having them all in one spot maximized my tax refund and enabled me to run clean business reports! I love not having paper laying around anymore. The newest version is slick and allows me to find receipts on the go. Strongly recommend the service to any business owner.

The UI is clean and easy to understand. The actual functionality and subsequent processing time is a bit unrealistic for how I’d use this. Receipts get processed in several hours so if you’re batching a bunch of receipts from a trip and looking to wrap up an expense report, this is unlikely to be very helpful. If, however, you’re processing receipts every day in real time, I could see this making sense for some folks. The other part that would have kept me from installing the free version is the limit of 5 receipts a month. Who needs an application to keep track of 5 receipts? Additionally, the top plan caps processing at 50 receipts a month. Its a decent ap. Just needs more of the process sorted out along with a higher allocation for monthly receipts.

Great app to keep everything in one place

As a college student my receipts are all over the place. When I need to find a receipt, its either lost or ripped. Once I got shoebox, that was a think of the past. My receipts are always organized and right there when I need them.

I wish I would of tried it sooner... It takes care of mileage tracking better than any of the apps that are solely mileage tracking. All you do is download your documents, receipts, photos, Etc and it will organize everything putting each receipt under the file labeled receipts and labels everything for you. I couldnt believe it. Good Stuff! You can do this on your laptop or the app.

It was very easy to download and use. Loving this app.

I’m trying to do a better job of tracking receipts for my freelance work, and this has made it really easy. I love the categories they’ve already set up and the options to choose between deductible and expenses, which are my two primary concerns. I haven’t gotten it to connect to my email yet, but I know it does and I’m looking forward to using Shoeboxed to track receipts that get emailed to me, too.

I know you are trying to process.. the input by the user and all, but it takes forever! Is it automating? Or a person actually verifying the receipts? I would love more than the number 5!

Receipts take a while to upload. Can only do 5 uploads per month without having to pay. Havent tried the mileage tracking yet.

I dread filing my receipts and it looks like Shoeboxed is going to provide a savvy solution. The interface is clean and very intuitive. I also sent a test report and, again, very intuitive to go through that process. The resulting report was crisp easy to read. For now my only hesitation is the price after the free trial. Need to assess how much I will use, if I need the app.

Great way to track items for personal budget and taxes.

I have only been using the app for a few days but I have liked it so far. I had to upgrade from the free version because of the limit to how many items you could upload but I like the fact that you can sync it with Gmail I will update this review in a few months.
